This CUPE 2087 Temporary Full-Time Labour position offers 40 hours a week. This position will be 4 x 10-hour shifts, between Monday and Sunday (with two consecutive days off) with possible overtime and callouts pending on weather conditions.

Successful applicants will be competent in minor equipment operations and able to work with minimum supervision and possess a Class 5 driver’s license.

The position’s main duties will be working in the arena and assisting with outdoor manual snow removal and ice control.

Preference will be given to applicants who possess an IFO (Ice Facility Operator) certificate and a valid refrigeration ticket or a 5th class power engineering ticket and have experience with operating machinery and have used an ice resurfacing machine.

Applicants must be high school graduates (or equivalent) with a valid Class 5 B.C. Driver’s License. This is a CUPE Local 2087 bargaining position and offers a starting rate of $35.75 per hour (Pay Grade 1).
