Job Description

Trail Operations is currently seeking a Technician, Health Center (Phlebotomist) – Casual to work in our Health Centre.  This position reports to the Occupational Health Lead.

Partial evening shifts may be required throughout the duration.

Responsibilities:

  • Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
  • Collecting, handling, shipping biological samples

Qualifications:

  • Must hold a minimum of a current certificate for a Medical Lab Assistant and recent phlebotomy experience is necessary
  • Professional demeanor and a need for safeguarding patient confidentiality is a necessity
  • Able to work afterhours and weekends for planned and unplanned emergency work
  • Good computer skills (MS Excel/Word) and a quick learner for Teck-based systems (JD Edwards, EtQ, Qlikview)
  • Must be a team member and have the ability to work independently
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills are a must
