Job Description

Responsible for operating light duty equipment and labour work as assigned by Assistant Managers in a safe and competent manner. This position will support the day-today work to supplement winter operations. Term position anticipated to be from November 1, 2024 to March 15, 2025. Hours up to 40 hours per week and may include on-call shifts afternoons, evenings, weekends and nightshifts.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Assistant Manager- Operations, this role operates light equipment including but not limited to loader, trackless, skid steer and trucks, with or without snowplow attachments. The Supplementary Operations Worker will perform labour in completion of a variety of duties including road maintenance and snow and ice control to supplement winter operations.

Qualifications

The successful candidates will have completed Grade 12 or GED, have a BC Driver’s Licence Class 5 with Air Brake Endorsement, and the ability to operate assigned equipment. This is a CUPE 2262 position offering $36.11 per/hr plus 10% in lieu of benefits.
