Sterilization Assistants at Kootenay Family Dental are the backbone of our clinical excellence. You are the engine that keeps our practice running safely and efficiently. By ensuring our instruments are meticulously prepared and our treatment rooms are pristine, you directly allow our clinicians to focus on what they do best: providing exceptional care. Reporting directly to the Office Manager, we’re looking for a proactive individual who takes pride in maintaining a gold-standard environment.

Service Schedule: Part-time or full-time available.

The Sterilization Assistant we are looking for:

• Detail-Oriented: You have a “safety-first” mindset and a high level of integrity regarding clinical protocols.
• Reliable: You are dependable, organized, and thrive in a fast-paced environment where timing is everything.
• A Team Player: You are eager to support our dental assistants and hygienists to ensure a smooth flow for the day.
• Qualified: A high school diploma is required; previous experience in a dental or medical setting is a plus, but we are willing to train the right person with a great attitude.

As a Sterilization Assistant at Kootenay Family Dental, you will:

• Maintain Safety: Clean, disinfect, and sterilize dental instruments and equipment according to strict provincial standards.
• Support the Team: Turn over treatment rooms quickly and efficiently to keep the office running on schedule.
• Manage Inventory: Monitor clinical supplies and assist with stocking and organization.
• Enhance Patient Care: Ensure every patient enters a clean, safe, and professional environment.
