Wood currently has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Structural Engineer. Reporting to the Department Manager, Civil, Structural & Architectural, this position is located in our Saskatoon, SK office or in our Trail, BC office. Salary: CDN $121,000 – $143,000 per year

Responsibilities
- Provide structural design and technical support including calculations, weld design, design drawing review, field investigations, and solutions for the construction or repair of industrial buildings, facilities, and services
- Develop project structural/architectural drawings from conceptual through to detailed design.
- Writr specifications, contract documents, and proposals.
- Review project documents prior to issue for scope and presentation, including checking for technical accuracy.
- Develop and maintain positive, sustainable client relationships.
- Coordinate and work with other disciplines and project team members.
- Provide mentoring, guidance and technical expertise to the project team
Qualifications
- Undergraduate or Graduate Degree in Civil Engineering, specializing in structural design.
- Registered or have the ability to register as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) in the province of Saskatchewan or British Columbia
- Broad scope knowledge of structural designs and an understanding of industry codes, standards, and construction methods.
- Material design experience, which may include experience in the use of structural steel, reinforced concrete, masonry, and/or wood.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience working on mining and/or heavy industrial projects is an asset.
- Ability to work efficiently and demonstrate effective organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skill.
- Team-oriented and a creative thinker,
- Demonstrates cooperation and decision-making abilities.
- Authorization to lawfully work in Canada without sponsorship from Wood is required
