Teck is looking for an experienced Recruiting Coordinator to join our team at Trail Operations, one of the world’s largest fully integrated zinc and lead smelting and refining complexes. Reporting to the Superintendent, HR Planning and Talent Management, the Recruiting Coordinator is primarily accountable for providing support to the Human Resources team on a variety of tasks in a timely and professional manner.
This role is based in the welcoming community of Trail, situated in the beautiful West Kootenay region of southeastern British Columbia. Here you will find outdoor adventure at your fingertips! Responsibilities:
- Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
- Partner closely with Recruiters and provide administrative and organizational support of all recruitment activities related to screening, scheduling, hiring and onboarding candidates for Trail Operations
- Post job advertisements and distribute bulletins required by collective agreements
- Coordinate and schedule interviews including site visits
- Coordinate candidate travel travel arrangements including flight, hotel bookings, meals, interviews, and plant tours
- Process candidate travel reimbursements
- Assist Human Resources staff with data entry and administrative tasks as required
- Plan and execute various administrative projects for the department as assigned
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree, certificate or diploma in relevant field required preferred. Equivalent experience will be considered.
- Minimum 2 years experience in HR, recruiting or administrative roles
- 1+ years experience working in corporate or agency recruitment operations strongly preferred
- Experience working with an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) such as Lever and SuccessFactors is preferred
- Sophisticated social skills and written communications; ability to deal with individuals at all levels from internal clients to service providers to candidates
- Strong planning, prioritizing and organizing skills; self-directed, able to identify and action multiple items to ensure our hiring needs are met

Hourly Rate Range: $30/hour – $38/hour
The actual base salary offered is determined based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.
