
Pastry Cook
Job Description
As a pastry cook with Hoopers Bakery you are involved in many aspects of the production process. You are able to work on your own and manage your time well.
Among other things you are responsible for making doughs and batters, portioning and rolling baguette dough, making and decorating tarts, making various pastries and baking cookies. You keep your workstation clean and do your part in the general cleaning of the bakery.
You provide customer service by taking orders and answering questions from customers in the store or over the phone.
Holidays are our busiest times of the year and you are available to work during these times.
REQUIREMENTS:
– Experience working in a bakery is preferred for this position.
– You have an interest in all aspects of the bakery and the products we make and maintain your attention to detail from start to finish.
– You are comfortable talking to customers when they have questions, either in person or on the phone. Holidays are our busiest time
and you are available around those dates.
Bakery/kitchen experience preferred
Available during holidays
Ability to lift and move heavy loads up to 50lbs
Service oriented and comfortable talking on the phone
Additional Info
Shifts are Monday – Friday, 7:00am – 3:30pm. Summers are more quiet, winters are more busy and the schedule may be adjusted accordingly. Starting wage is $18/hr plus tips and we offer benefits and a wage increase after a probation period.
