Do you love managing fast-paced catering operations and ensuring happy, well-fed crews? If so, this is the Shambhala gig for you!

About the role:

As our Overnight & Weekend Catering Coordinator, you’ll be the mastermind behind our crew meal distribution. You’ll develop plans, oversee operations, and ensure everything runs smoothly from set-up to breakdown.

Contract date is from July 5th-30th (2 weekends of work, then shifting into overnight hours starting July 19th). Please note that overnight shifts are mandatory for this position throughout the duration of the festival.

Here’s what you’ll do:

•Plan like a pro: Develop a meal distribution plan for over 1,000 crew members, keeping efficiency and minimal waste in mind.
•Keep it flowing: Oversee the crew meal service, delegate tasks, and ensure a high-quality dining experience.
•Safety first: Champion exceptional service and a safe work environment by following strict food safety regulations.
•Communication is key: Troubleshoot issues, maintain clear communication across departments, and keep everything on track.
•Train and empower: Train and supervise catering volunteers, fostering a positive work environment and crew well-being.
•Keep it accurate: Manage timesheets (if applicable) and ensure daily reports are completed and submitted.

We’re looking for someone who:

•Has experience in food & beverage management or catering.
•Thrives in a fast-paced environment and can manage high volumes of information.
•Is a master organizer with a Foodsafe certification.
•Has experience leading a team of 5 or more people.

You’ll also need to be:

•A communication whiz who can connect with all levels of staff.
•A master multi-tasker and prioritization pro.
•A team player with strong leadership and training skills.
•A committed, self-motivated individual who stays positive under pressure.
•Friendly, outgoing, and customer-service oriented.
•Adaptable and comfortable working outdoors in potentially challenging weather.
•Patient and able to handle repetitive tasks.
•A professional who maintains a positive demeanor and fosters a great company image.
•Knowledge of SMF procedures is a plus!
•A team player who thrives in a diverse and inclusive work environment.
