Job Description
The City of Grand Forks is seeking an individual for the position of Operator 1.
Under the direction of the Public Works Coordinator, the Operator 1 is responsible for the safe and efficient operation, maintenance and repair of all Public Works related infrastructure, including but not limited to; Roads, Sidewalks, Facilities, Airports, Cemetery’s, Parking Lots, Washrooms, Storm Drains, Manholes, Catch basins, Street Signs, Stop Signs, Traffic Signs, Parks, Sports Fields, Trees, Flower Beds, Planters, Hanging Baskets, Irrigation Infrastructure, Garbage Cans, Dog Bag Dispensers, Benches, Picnic Tables and Sharps Containers.
Candidates are required to meet the following minimum requirements:
- Highschool Graduation or Equivalent.
- Experience in a Municipal Public Works Setting or Experience in a Related Industry.
- B.C. Driver’s License Class 5.
This is a Union position, subject to all Sections of the current CUPE Collective Bargaining Agreement.
