Job Description
Kootenay Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine is seeking a full-time Medical Office Administrator (MOA) to join our healthcare team. You will play a key role in supporting our surgeons, patients, and team by delivering outstanding administrative care and creating a welcoming, supportive, and positive experience. RESPONSIBILITIES
You’ll be an essential part of our team ensuring our clinics run smoothly and efficiently.
– Welcome patients warmly at the front desk ensuring a positive, organized, and efficient clinic environment
– Answer multi-line phone system and schedule appointments efficiently
– Maintain referral and surgical waitlists
– Maintain accurate patient records and manage confidential information
– Support patients in navigating next steps of their healthcare
– Maintain organized office operations by managing supplies and maintaining office and equipment maintenance
– Adapt to changing priorities and resolve issues with confidence and professionalism

REQUIREMENTS
– 1 to 2 years of demonstrated administrative experience in an office or healthcare setting
– Medical transcription and/or medical billing experience is an asset
– Experience using electronic medical records (EMR) experience is an asset
– Strong team player
– Excellent problem-solving and organization skills with the ability to multitask in a busy office setting
– Proficiency in handling multi-line phone system and managing office communications professionally
