Teck is looking for an experienced Management Systems Clerk to join our team at our Trail Operations, one of the world’s largest fully integrated zinc and lead smelting and refining complexes. Reporting to the Superintendent, Management Systems, the Management Systems Clerk is responsible for providing clerical, administrative, training and coordinating support to the Training & Management Systems group.
This role is based in the welcoming community of Trail, situated in the beautiful West Kootenay region of southeastern British Columbia. Here you will find outdoor adventure at your fingertips! Responsibilities:
- Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
- Assist in the development and implementation of specific project initiatives within Trail’s Learning & Document Management Systems
- Provide clerical, data entry and administrative support to Trail Operations Management Systems group.
- Administrator for assigned EtQ databases; assists in troubleshooting and resolving simple EtQ admin ssues, and communicating with stakeholders
- Configure new EtQ User and Training profiles for Teck Employees and Contractors. Update existing Profiles based on employee movement or other change in status
- Generate, complete and/or cancel EtQ training schedules, enroll learners and attach training records, as requested by the Management Systems team.
- Assist Management Systems team with KPI reporting as required
- Administer and maintain Trail Operations Document Control System; provide document control support for centralized groups & depts, and assist Management Systems Coordinators with business area document administration as required
- Maintain and troubleshoot Management System Share Point sites; maintain integrity of data; designate security levels for users
- Work with Business Area SME’s to draft, update and maintain plant process (MTS) Training Manuals using MS Visio, Word, Adobe Acrobat Reader and ETQ
- Add or update online Training content to the UPK Software as directed
Qualifications:
- Post secondary certificate or diploma in English, Education, Business Administration or a related field from a recognized institution is required
- High level organizational skills, with the ability to manage a large volume of administrative tasks, is required
- Strong professional written language skills are required, with the ability to maintain document quality as per document management system standards. Experience writing technical documents is an asset
- Preference will be given to applicants qualified to write MTS Training Manuals and previous experience with MS Visio and EtQ Document Control
- Ability to effectively communicate with technical staff, transcribe technical, and plant process information into written and narrative form is required
- General knowledge of Trail Operations considered an asset

Salary Range: $37.49 /Hour
