The City of Trail Parks and Recreation Department is seeking energetic, enthusiastic and people oriented individuals who are available for employment as a Lifeguard / Instructor at the Trail Aquatic and Leisure Centre.

Hours of work may include evening, daytime and weekend shifts.

Primary Responsibility: 

Provide a safe, enjoyable aquatic experience for users of the Trail Aquatic & Leisure Centre through public education, quality customer service and prevention of water accidents.

Qualifications:

Provide the following minimum current awards:

1. NLS (National Lifeguard)
2. Red Cross Water Safety Instructor
3. CPR C
4. Lifesaving Society Instructor
5. AEC (Aquatic Emergency Care) or equivalent (Standard First Aid)

Desirable: 

1. Pool Operator Level 1
2. BC Drivers Licence
3. WHMIS
4. Aquatic Fitness Instructor (BCRPA, CALA, YMCA or CFES)
5. WCB First Aid – Level 1
6. Food Safe

Wages:  $24.51 per hour
