
Lifeguard/Instructor
Job Description
The City of Trail Parks and Recreation Department is seeking energetic, enthusiastic and people oriented individuals who are available for employment as a Lifeguard / Instructor at the Trail Aquatic and Leisure Centre.
Hours of work may include evening, daytime and weekend shifts.
Primary Responsibility:
Provide a safe, enjoyable aquatic experience for users of the Trail Aquatic & Leisure Centre through public education, quality customer service and prevention of water accidents.
Qualifications:
Provide the following minimum current awards:
- NLS (National Lifeguard)
- Red Cross Water Safety Instructor
- CPR C
- Lifesaving Society Instructor
- AEC (Aquatic Emergency Care) or equivalent (Standard First Aid)
Desirable:
- Pool Operator Level 1
- BC Drivers Licence
- WHMIS
- Aquatic Fitness Instructor (BCRPA, CALA, YMCA or CFES)
- WCB First Aid – Level 1
- Food Safe

Wages: $24.51 per hour
