
Lead Pastry Cook
Job Description
As the afternoon Lead Pastry cook you are responsible for baking off products, production and for working with other staff to make sure the afternoon runs smooth when the Pastry Chef is not in the kitchen.
You are able to work independently, are self motivated and manage your time well. You are responsible for loading and unloading ovens, keeping the FOH stocked and making doughs and batters as well as portioning and rolling breads and baguettes, making and decorating tarts and various pastries and for baking cookies.
You keep your workstation clean and do your part in the general cleaning of the bakery. You provide customer service by taking orders and answering questions from customers in the store or over the phone.
REQUIREMENTS:
~ Kitchen experience is required for this position, bakery experience is preferred.
~ A keen interest in the products we make
~ Able to maintain high standards and perform quality control
~ Able to work and keep up in a fast paced environment
~ Available during holidays
~ Available for afternoon and evening shifts
~ Ability to lift and move heavy loads up to 50lbs
~ Service oriented and comfortable talking on the phone
HOURS, SHIFTS and COMPENSATION:
Start date: July 27
Shifts from Monday – Friday starting between 10:00 am and 1:00 pm.
Flexibility in days and shifts, depending on scheduling needs throughout the year is required, especially during holidays.
Hourly wage is $21/hour plus tips. Health benefits available after a probation period.
