Boundary Electric is seeking a skilled Junior Designer/Drafter to join our team!!

As a Jr. Designer/Drafter, you will play a crucial role in transforming initial rough product design using CAD into working documents. The Junior Designer/Drafter will review engineering drawings and designs to ensure adherence to established specifications and standards.

Key functions:

· Core Duties

o Design and prepare detailed electronic working plans, scale drawings for complex projects from observation, measurements, sketches, and specifications using CAD software.

o Interface with departmental personnel to obtain details of equipment and materials requirements.

o Collaborate with senior designers to refine designs.

o Provide technical guidance and direction in the interpretation and implementation of specifications and requirements and the procurement and use of CAD.

· Other

o Other duties may be assigned as needed.

· Quality

o Follow the corporate Quality Management System.

· Safety

o Follow industry safety standards.

o Identify and control hazards (complete job-specific Hazard Identification and Risk Assessments).

o Demonstrate good housekeeping and an orderly work environment.

Special Requirements:

· Knowledge of CAD and Revit software.

· Ability to deal with problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations.

· Ability to manage one’s own time and coordinate/prioritize work.

· Strong attention to detail.

· Passion for design.

· Able to work full time.

Education, Skills and Attributes:

· CAD Certified.

· Strong attention to detail in the area of math (geometry).

· Ability to express ideas concisely and clearly, orally and in writing.

· Ability to convey information effectively to employees and customers.
