Role and Objectives:

Reporting to the Lead Purchaser, the Inventory Assistant is responsible for support in inventory controls and efficiencies across our Mass Timber and Lumber facilities. This position will require an understanding of our inventory storage and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems. Local pickup and deliveries for both sites will be required as directed.

Responsibilities:

  • Understand and comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • General Inventory Management, including but not limited to inventory count assistance, labelling, inventory clean up and counts.
  • Inventory assessments and reporting.
  • Weekly Town runs for all Kalesnikoff facilities.
  • Execute site to site deliveries.
  • Inventory Coordinator Coverage as required.
  • Utilize and continue to build on the Inventory control documents and processes.
  • Receiving as required.
  • Other duties as requested or required.

Requirements:

  • 3 – 5 years of experience receiving and handling inventory as an asset.
  • 3 – 5 years of experience in an ERP inventory system as an asset.
  • 3 – 5 years of experience working in an Industrial setting as an asset.
  • 3 – 5 years of experience working in a Warehouse setting as an asset.
  • 3 – 5 years of experience conducting periodic inventory counts as an asset.
  • Forklift Certified.
  • Driver’s License Required.
  • Ability to take clear direction and execute tasks.
  • Ability to utilize Office applications: Outlook, word, excel. an asset.

Working Conditions:

  • Overtime as required.
  • Occasional exposure to weather when offloading equipment or driving forklift.
  • Occasional stooping/bending/crouching, reaching, handling, finger dexterity, walking when completing inventory management related tasks.
  • Occasional use of ladders or working at heights when checking on inventories.
  • Use of Personal Protective Equipment will be required when entering production facility or in yard(s) (e.g. hard-hat, safety boots, etc.).
  • Desk work, with interruptions and an expectation of ability to refocus quickly.
  • Ability to occasionally lift 30-50 lbs.

Compensation Package:

  • Salary: 55,000.00 – 65,000.00
  • Schedule: Monday – Friday
