REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: • Successful completion of an undergraduate degree in a related discipline and five years’ experience directly related to Human Resources • Experience working in a unionized environment • Broad HR experience in a variety of HR disciplines, which may include compensation/reward, organizational development, HR processes and analytics, inclusion and diversity, employment law, talent management, performance management, employee and labour relations and occupational health and safety. • An acceptable combination of education and experience will be considered • CPHR designation is preferred. The Human Resources Advisor works with a high degree of independence, interpreting client needs, assessing requirements and identifying solutions. They work in collaboration, and through consultation, with the HR Manager and the other HR Advisor. Their role is to work both tactically and strategically with client groups to build capability, implement HR systems and ensure that teams are working optimally. In the term HR Advisor role, the focus is normally on projects and supporting the Regional District generally in the areas listed rather than a designated client base. They will work with, and support the work of, the Advisor(s) and Sr. Manager to deliver services across the RDCK. This is a full-time TERM position of 35 hours per week and the normal starting salary is $46.52/hour, with a range from $44.50—$50.56/hour, depending upon education and experience.
