Job Description
It’s an amazing time to join Golden Life as we continue to expand our seniors housing, care, and services within western Canada.
We’re looking for a qualified, part-time (0.90 FTE) Housekeeping Aide to join our Village team in Fruitvale, BC. If you are a strong team player, then we’d like to hear from you!
The successful candidate will have related experience and has a passion for providing high quality care and support for seniors.
Duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Perform housekeeping tasks such as cleaning rooms, sweeping and mopping floors, vacuuming, preparing cleaning solution, replenishing supplies; and cleaning, disinfecting and storing housekeeping equipment;
- Assist with laundry as needed.
- Operate in a safe manner and report any present or potential health and safety hazards to Manager;
- Interact with residents, guests and staff in a courteous and respectful manner;
- Complete required documentation;
- Acts as a positive and constructive team player, creating exceptional customer experiences;
- Follow security and infection control policies and procedures; and,
- Perform other duties as assigned.

The successful candidate will meet the following qualifications:
- Effective communication and organizational skills;
- Ability to work independently and as a team-player;
- Physically capable of lifting up to 10kgs;
- Grade 10 education or equivalent;
- Successful clearance of a vulnerable sector-criminal record check
- Provide Immunization Records; and,
- Proof of full COVID-19 vaccinations or approved exemption for an accommodation based on a reason related to human rights.
What we offer you
Wage: $17.33 per hour
Shifts: 8am-4pm (5 on/ 3 off)
