Job Description

Position Overview:

The Gym Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the facility, ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for members and staff. This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and a passion for health and fitness to drive member satisfaction, staff performance, and overall growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Operations & Facility Management:
-Oversee daily operations, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning of the gym.
-Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment in all areas of the facility.
-Manage equipment maintenance, repairs, and safety checks.
-Monitor compliance with health, safety, and company policies.

Staff Leadership & Development:
-Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise gym staff (trainers, front desk, cleaning, etc.).
-Provide ongoing coaching, support, and performance evaluations.
-Foster a positive, team-oriented workplace culture.

Member Experience & Customer Service:
-Ensure high levels of member satisfaction through excellent service and support.
-Handle member inquiries, complaints, and conflict resolution professionally.
-Develop strategies to improve member engagement, retention, and referrals.

Community & Marketing Support
-Support marketing initiatives, promotions, and community outreach programs.
-Represent the gym in the local community to build strong relationships and visibility.

Qualifications & Skills:
-Previous management or supervisory experience, preferably in fitness, hospitality, or customer service.
-Strong leadership and people management skills.
-Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
-Organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
-Knowledge of fitness equipment, programs, and health/safety standards.
-CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
