ATCO Wood Products is a family-owned business located in the West Kootenays of British Columbia. We specialize in producing high-quality softwood veneer and other wood products, as well as sustainably managing the forests where we work, play and live. Role:

AWP has an opportunity for a motivated individual to join our accounting and finance team at our office in Fruitvale. Reporting to the CFO you will be responsible for preparing and analysing financial reports, key performance metrics and identifying areas for improvement.

Duties:

 Preparation of month-end financial statements, presentations, analysis and other monthly reporting.

 Preparation of weekly cash flow forecasts.

 Participate in the development, compilation, and analysis of key performance indicators.

 Preparation and review of budget and forecasts

 Support external audit and reporting requirements.

 Participate in the preparation of board of director information packages and presentations.

 Data modelling, analysis and analytics.

 Assist in identifying opportunities to enhance process flows and operational performance within the company.

 Participate in implementation and provide support for finance connected software and systems.

 Provide support and backup within the finance team.

 Other tasks as required.

Qualifications:

 Accounting education (CPA, Business Administration Diploma, in progress towards an Accounting Designation, or several years of relevant experience).

 Relevant experience in accounting functions and data analysis; Forestry and/or manufacturing industry experience is an advantage.

 Strong computer skills; Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Power BI, Tableau, Office, SQL); experience with other software programs (Forestry related; ERP systems; Accounting systems e.g. Simply Accounting, Syspro, BOS).

 Strong aptitude to learn new software and other skills.

 Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

 Ability to work well within a small team environment and manage time and deadline pressures. Don’t check off every single bullet point?

Compensation: $80,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year
