
Finance Clerk
Job Description
Responsible for front counter inquiries and receipt of payments, assists with accounts payable & receivable data entry and provides other general administrative support to the Finance Division on a casual on-call basis.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Manager of Finance, the Casual Finance Clerk will provide advice and assistance to the general public and fellow employees which include answering inquiries related to financial matters including property taxes, utilities, rates, fees, and pre- authorized payments.
This position receives and processes payments and prepares deposits for City services including property taxes, utilities, business licenses, pet licenses, permits, accounts receivable and other transactions. Performs similar accounting and clerical duties as assigned.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will have completed an Office Administration Certificate or similar education, or combination of relevant accounting experience.
They will have a competence in a computerized office environment, specifically MS Office Suite, MS365. Experience in Vadim or other accounting software is an asset.
This position is a CUPE Local 2262 position with an attractive hourly rate of $35.85 plus 10% in lieu of benefits.
