Kootenay-Columbia School District (KCSD) is seeking a temporary full-time (37.5 hours per week) Human Resources Executive Assistant effective November 17, 2025 to January 15, 2027 (with the possibility of an extension). This position is exempt and therefore, excluded from union membership.

The Position:
The Human Resources Executive Assistant is an important member of the District team. The Human Resources Executive Assistant is directly responsible for providing support to the Assistant Superintendent – Human Resources and Human Resources Coordinator by efficiently and effectively handling the confidential administrative duties within the Human Resources department.
Qualifications:
This position will appeal to an experienced individual interested in a detailed and challenging position. The successful candidate will possess superior interpersonal skills and have demonstrated organizational and planning abilities in addition to having:
- Grade 12
- Business Administration diploma
- A minimum of 5 years of recent experience in an executive assistant or similar position
- Demonstrated initiative and ability to work under pressure on a wide variety of assignments with minimal supervision
- Exceptional attention to detail and the highest level of confidentiality
- Experience in providing support within a Human Resources environment
- Advanced proficiency with word processing, spreadsheets and document management
- Experience with Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft 365, particularly SharePoint, Outlook, Excel, Word and Teams
- Experience with HRIS and other HR technologies (e.g., applicant tracking systems) is considered an asset, but not a requirement
- Proven ability to plan, organize and follow up on projects effectively
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong public relations abilities
- Strong ability and genuine desire to work collaboratively as part of a team supporting the Human Resources department
This full-time temporary exempt position offers a salary range of $62,847 to $78,559 + 9% in lieu of benefits.
