We are looking for an Equipment Operator to join our BC Eco team for our forestry roadbuilding operations in the West Kootenays. • Wage is $30-34 per hour, depending on experience
• Overtime pay after 8 hours

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operate excavator and dozer in the construction of forestry roads.
• Operate equipment in a safe and efficient manner, perform daily equipment inspections and maintenance.
• Operate other heavy equipment as required and instructed by site supervisors.
• Ability to travel to various job sites within the West Kootenays region as required.
• Ensure company policies, core values and culture are being consistently upheld.
• General job set-up, site clean up, and materials removal.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

As a member of the BC Eco team, we expect you bring the following to the table:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience operating excavator and dozer.
• Experience running grader would be an asset.
• Mechanical aptitude and capable of performing basic daily equipment maintenance.
• Motivated self-starter with positive attitude and proven safety record.
• Experience running other types of heavy equipment would be an asset.
• Valid Class 5 driver’s licence.
• Experience and knowledge of working in a forestry roadbuilding environment preferred.
• Physically fit and able to walk uneven ground in a forest environment.
• Team player who is willing to pitch in wherever needed.
