Equipment Operator - Grader

We are looking for an Equipment Operator to join our BC Eco team for our Grand Forks operations in BC. POSITION BENEFITS
- Wage is $32.00 – $35.00 plus per hour, depending on experience
- Overtime pay after 8 hours
- Monday to Friday shifts with overtime work often available.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Experience running a Grader is pertinent.
- Log Loader: Unload log trucks and neatly deck wood in log yard.
- Wheel Loader: Unload log trucks, forward logs in yard, load chip trucks.
- Chipper: Operate Peterson 5000H and CBI7544 Flail Chippers, feeding whole logs with Log Loader, producing chips for pulp and paper.
- Feed waste wood and logs, loading into a trailer or building a pile.
- Operate equipment in a safe and efficient manner, perform daily equipment inspections and maintenance.
- Operate other heavy equipment as required and instructed by site supervisors.
- Ability to travel to various job sites within the Quesnel region as required.
- Ensure company policies, core values and culture are being consistently upheld.
- General job set-up, site clean up, and materials removal.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
As a member of the BC Eco team, we expect you bring the following to the table:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience operating Grader
- Experience running Grinder or Chipper would be an asset.
- Mechanical aptitude and capable of performing basic daily equipment maintenance.
- Motivated self-starter with positive attitude and proven safety record.
- Experience running other types of heavy equipment would be an asset.
- Valid Class 5 driver’s licence.
- Experience and knowledge of working in a log yard or logging environment preferred.
- Physically fit and able to walk uneven ground, chip piles and log yard locations.
- Team player who is willing to pitch in wherever needed.
