The City of Trail is actively seeking an experienced financial leader to fill the role of Deputy Director of Finance in a temporary capacity for a minimum 6-month term.

Reporting directly to the CAO/CFO, the Deputy Director of Finance will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation and supervision of all resource aspects of the Finance work team including, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll and benefits, cemetery, utility billing, property tax, financial reporting and budget functions.

This position will work with all departments to provide professional expertise, advice and assistance as required.

The ideal candidate will have a professional accounting designation (CPA) in good standing or an equivalent combination of education and experience, and a minimum five year’s progressively responsible accounting experience in a municipal finance or a similar government environment, including at least two years in a supervisory or management role.

The position offers a targeted salary range of $112,000 to $118,000 annually, supplemented by a competitive benefits package designed to attract and retain top talent in municipal leadership.
