Job Description

Maple Reinders Constructors Ltd. is currently looking for a CSO/Construction Labourer to work on the Waste Water Treatment Plant project in Trail, British Columbia. This is your chance to work with one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies!

We are looking for a CSO with:

Certified CSO designation or equivalent experience and training
Able to work without supervision
Proficient computer skills
Able to communicate effectively with Crew, Staff, Management and sub-trades
Minimum Level 1 Occupational First Aid certification, preferably Level 2 or 3
Able to effectively lead and document Safety Toolbox Meetings, Monthly Safety Meetings, Hazard Assessments, Site Safety Audits and initiate an immediate safety shut-down if serious safety infractions are observed
Able to perform construction tasks on site, basic carpentry work, building site fencing, general labour, etc.
Fully experienced with industrial formwork systems
Good work ethic
Ability to work well with a team and on your own
Ability to work outdoors in inclement weather
Must have a valid driver’s license and your own vehicle
Ability to work longer hours/weekends if needed
Conduct regular site specific orientations, including collection & filing of safety training documents for all site personnel
Must have CSTS training and current WHMIS training ; will be responsible for maintaining SDS data for all controlled products on site
Conduct investigations of accidents and near miss incidents
Must have fall arrest training and be familiar with working at heights
Must be conversant with WorkSafe BC Safety Act and Regulations
Should be familiar with all aspects of heavy construction including excavation/ backfill, concrete formwork & placing, carpentry/framing, structural steel, process mechanical, roofing etc.
Must have basic knowledge and experience in working with cranes and rigging
