
Community Programmer
Job Description
The RDKB is currently seeking applications to fill a permanent, full-time Community Programmer position located in Grand Forks, BC, reporting to the Manager of Facilities and Recreation.
The Community Programmer serves in a leadership capacity to support community through recreation, the development, promotion, and hosting of culture and recreation related programs and events, and supporting community groups in their efforts to do the same, for Grand Forks and Electoral Area D, as well as Christina Lake and Area C. They are responsible for supervising associated program staff, volunteers, and contractors in the delivery of department recreation programs and events.

Applicants must possess the following qualifications, experience and skills:
- Grade 12 Diploma
- Minimum 2 years of programming and event experience, preferably in a municipal setting, or post-secondary certificate related to recreation
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a leadership role, demonstrating an ability to collaborate with others and foster a team first environment
- Class 5 Driver’s License
- WHMIS, Weight Training Instructor, Standard First Aid, and Leadership Training preferred
