Job Description
We are seeking a Permanent Part Time Clinical Dietitian at Poplar Ridge Pavillion in Castlegar and Trail, BC.
Days of work: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, alternating Thursday, Days
Shift times: 08:00 to 16:00, 08:30 to 16:30
This Long Term Care position has multiple worksites with Talarico Place in Castlegar, Poplar Ridge Pavilion and Columbia View Lodge in Trail.

What will you work on?
Utilizing clinical techniques and knowledge, the Dietitian provides nutrition services through: nutrition
assessment; care planning and charting; intervention, goal setting and monitoring; counseling and
education programs; consults and communicates with the multidisciplinary care teams; acts as a resource
to other health professionals and communities within Interior Health.
The Dietitian provides input to the Professional Practice Leader or designate by participating in the development of nutrition practice guidelines and procedures; research and continuous quality improvement initiatives for the facility and program.
The Dietitian liaises and advises food service staff on patient/client/resident care issues and menu
development.

Qualifications
• Baccalaureate degree in nutrition and dietetics.
• Successful completion of an accredited hospital based dietetic internship program (or equivalent acceptable to the facility).
• Current registration with the College of Health and Care Professionals of British Columbia (CHCPBC) [formerly College of Dietitian of British Columbia (CDBC)].
• One year of clinical nutrition experience in a health care environment preferred. New grads are welcome to apply.
• Valid BC Driver’s License.
