Overview:

• Planning and facilitating regular programming for children and youth, in-library and in the community, including crafts and story time.
• Participating in community events geared to children and youth
• Serving as a liaison with schools, daycares/preschools and youth organizations
• Planning and overseeing the Summer Reading Club
• Providing seniors outreach, including bringing books to seniors or people unable to come to the library.
• Managing the circulation counter, including customer service, reference help, checking books in and out
• Participaing in professional development
• Supervising student employees and volunteers

Desirable skills:

• Experience with children/youth
• Excellent customer service
• Comfortable with basic technology and computers
• Supervisor skills
• Great organizational skills
• Crafty

This position is 24 hours per week, and includes an evening shift.  The starting wage is $22 per hour.
