Job Description

RED Mountain Resort is seeking an enthusiastic Cashier / Barista to join our team for the 2026 Summer Season! As a Cashier/Barista, you will be responsible for duties including processing transactions for customers, and preparing and serving coffee. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, a friendly demeanor, and a strong work ethic.

 

The anticipated start date for this position is June 2026. The position end date will vary from end of August to October 2026.

 

RESPONSBILITIES 


Service/Operations:

Responsible for providing an exceptional service and dining experience from start to finish:

  1. Follows the RED Mountain’s Food and Beverage Standards of Service
  2. Assists guests with purchasing items, provides food and beverage services in a timely manner
  3. Recommends menu items and can suggest beverage pairings
  4. Shows a passion for hospitality, service and food
  5. Adheres to Health & Safety Regulations at all times
  6. Assists in any F&B Department Outlet as business volumes dictate
  7. Assists in maintaining table and bar service areas inclusive of bussing and side duties as required throughout the shift
  8. Assists in stock rotation and inventory count and management as required
  9. Rings all food and beverage into POS ordering system and will not provide off menu or free items unless instructed to do so by the Director of Food and Beverage

 

Guest Experience:

Deliver an elevated experience for our guests within our Food and Beverage Operations

  1. Determines & ensures exceptional service delivery while maintaining a high level of professionalism
  2. Develops strong guest relationships by understanding dietary restrictions/needs and can offer food and beverage menu recommendations
  3. Handles guest concerns with the support of the management team
  4. Acts as an ambassador of RED Mountain promoting internal and external events

Dedicated to working within a dynamic team that focuses on collaboration and guest satisfaction

  1. Desires to be part of a team and contribute as such
  2. Works closely with the culinary team to improve communication within the department
  3. Assists in emergency situations making prompt decisions in the best interest of the guest and the Resort

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • 2-3 years’ Cashier or Serving Experience
  • Serving it Right Certification.
  • Food Safe Certification.

Physical and Other Requirements

  • Able to lift 40 lbs.
  • Able to work on your feet for long period of time.
  • Able to carry stock up several flights of stairs.
  • Available to work evenings and/or weekends.

  • Enjoy working alone and under pressure, as well as in a team environment.
  • Exceptional customer service and cooking skills, including understanding and anticipating the needs of customers.
