
Box Office Manager
Job Description
The Bailey Theatre is pleased to invite applications for the part-time position of Box Office Manager, to begin as soon as possible.
The Trail and District Arts Council (TDAC) is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to foster the arts in the greater Trail area by programming and providing services and resources to our local affiliated arts, cultural, and heritage organizations. TDAC also manages the Bailey Theatre and The Griff in Trail BC.
This person is responsible for the efficient operation of all ticket sales, which include managing the ticket website, online and in-person ticket sales, event support and some general office administration. This person is the face of the ticket office and clearing house for all general inquiries.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
Excellent communication skills
Excellent customer service skills
At least one year of office experience
Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time efficiently
Experience auditing daily funds and handling cash
Strong computer skills:
Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Google calendar, Google Drive and Ticketing software.
Experience auditing daily funds and handling cash.
Eligible to get Serving It Right.
Experience with Canva, email marketing and Square is an asset.
DUTIES:
Administration
Answer phone lines and respond to emails and in-person enquiries.
Open and distribute mail.
Manage Electronic Message Board.
Order supplies as needed.
Maintain the Box Office filing system.
Maintain open communication with the Executive Director, Artistic Director, Finance person and Marketing staff.
Assist with Volunteer Coordination.
When time permits, assist with other tasks delegated by the Executive Director.
BOX OFFICE
Setting up and selling tickets for TDAC events.
Working at a variety of events, including outdoors.
Training employees on both Box Office and ticket system procedures.
Maintain cash and a balanced float.
Print and organize tickets for online purchases.
Manage the ticketing website which includes updating all production information and event set up.
Reconcile all ticket sales at the end of each day.
Provide excellent customer service.
CONCESSION AND EVENTS
Order and pick up stock, including alcohol.
Maintain records and reconcile stock.
Prepare and manage floats.
Dressing room prep, including laundry.

HOURS:
Box Office hours are Mon.-Fri. from 12-4.
20-28 hours per week, Monday-Friday, September-June including:
2 hours on show nights, which will include weekend and evening hours.
16 hours only per week July & August
