Help Bring a Local Cookbook to Life — One Page at a Time
A local cookbook author is looking for a detail-oriented, food-loving human to help transcribe and lightly edit a handwritten cookbook into a clean, digital format.
This is a contract-based, as-needed role that pays a living wage. You’ll be working directly with the author to turn well-loved, handwritten recipes into a polished, accessible document — all while preserving the heart and charm of the original writing.
What the job involves:

Transcribing handwritten recipes and notes into a digital document (Google Docs or Word)

Light editing for grammar, clarity, and consistency while keeping the author’s voice intact

Occasional check-ins with the author to clarify notes or structure

Working at your own pace within agreed-upon timelines
You might be a great fit if you:

Have experience with transcription or editing (or are a fast learner!)
