Assistant Manager - Gas Station
Job Description
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This position will assist the Manager in handling the day-to-day operations of the gas station and convenience store, including the following:
-Administrative procedures such as daily cash sheets, scheduling, budgeting etc;
-Merchandising and inventory control;
-Operating cash register and other equipment, as needed;
-General housekeeping and maintenance duties;
-Building and maintaining positive relationships with customers and suppliers;
-Providing direction and leadership toward building an ongoing positive, highly motivated team along with team member relations, including hiring, training and development and performance management.
QUALIFICATIONS
-Previous experience in a retail environment is an asset;
-Previous personnel management and training is an asset;
-Must have basic computer and math skills;
-Strong interpersonal, leadership and communication skills necessary;
-Motivation and ability to work in a busy environment is required;
-Ability to perform physical job duties including lifting, pushing and pulling up to 50 lbs.
The ideal candidate will have availability to work a variety of shifts 7 days a week, including early mornings, afternoons and evenings.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00-$25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
