As an Accounting Clerk II, your primary duties will include conducting thorough data analysis and preparing detailed month-end reconciliations. You will be responsible for executing tasks associated with internal controls and actively contributing to the preparation of financial, audit, and government reporting. In addition, you will maintain comprehensive asset management records and provide valuable support to other members of the finance team. The role also involves assisting in the preparation of reports for Council and the public, as well as supporting the development and ongoing monitoring of the City’s budget. Minimum Requirements: Enrollment in, or recent completion of, the Chartered Professional Accountants (CPA) Program. Preference will be given to candidates who have completed the core courses or are currently enrolled in the CPA Professional Education Program. This is a union position subject to the terms and conditions of the current Collective Agreement between the City and CUPE Local 2087.
