2024 Summer Student Employee Opportunity – Public Works Labourers
Job Description
The City of Rossland Public Works Department hires post-secondary students for seasonal employment. The duties will vary; however, can include routine park maintenance, general construction duties, small machinery and tool operation, painting, carpentry, and other general labouring duties as required.
Applicants must be attending school, college or university during the last school term and returning to full-time studies in the subsequent academic year and possess a valid B.C. Class 5 Driver’s License with clean abstract.
This is a CUPE Local 2087 bargaining position and offers a pay rate of $23.46/hour plus 4% vacation pay. This seasonal student position will employ students from the end of May to the end of August, Monday to Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (40 hours per week).
