Job Description

The CAPC program provides group-based parent support to parents and families with children 0-6 years of age. In addition, the CAPC Worker is involved in activities that promote community capacity in relation to families with young children. Education, Training, and Experience: -A diploma in a Human Services or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience -Previous experience working successfully with parents with young children or expectant mothers -Class 5 Driver's License -Must be willing to be trained in First Aid with CPR if not holding a current certificate -Must be willing to be trained in Food Safe if not holding a current certificate

Job Skills and Abilities: -Good written and verbal reporting skills -Demonstrated ability to teach and work effectively with others in both group and one to one setting with strong facilitation skills -Good organization, time and general management skills -Good interpersonal communication skills and team work skills -Demonstrated commitment to cultural awareness and competency -Demonstrated ability to work in a diverse environment, including the community at large
