Wild Smile Events is a Kootenay based event planning, design, coordination and rental company that seeks to create authentic events for spirited clients that cultivate connection and memorable experiences. Though our warehouse assistants typically work in house, we are also working extra hard to ensure our clients' needs are taken care of. You truly hate people - Don't get me wrong there will be days but deep down you have to love the flaws of the human race and want to connect with each and every client

You expect the job to be glamorous. . . Warehouse Assistants are in charge of getting the rentals organized and ready and this means a lot of sweat!

You can't take constructive criticism or work reviews in a positive way and do not like to learn and grow daily

You laugh at the suckers who work during the summer while you sip cocktails on the beach

You can't move FAST. Like really fast. If you are a “take your time” type this job is not for you. You also need to be able to lift heavy items and juggle tasks.

What are some tasks you will be responsible for?

Ultimately, you are the second pair of hands for our Warehouse Manager to assist with anything and everything. A few examples of tasks that are often completed by our warehouse assistants are:

Organizing, preparing and packing all rental Inventory

Prepping team equipment for event days

Washing cutlery, glassware + dinnerware

Washing, steaming and folding linens

Communicating with rental clients

Packing/Unloading Transport Vehicles + Lifting heavy rental items

Checking in with manager + assisting them as needed

Assistance with delivery and tear down when needed

Keeping the warehouse clean + tidy

Absolute Requirements:

Willing to work as the team w/ other members of Wild Smile Events and customers

Have a Driver's License or reliable transportation

Potential Weekend Availability starting May 2023 - October 2023 (Please note, we will schedule weekends with the team to allow some weekends off but really need team players who are flexible)

Compensation:

This position is a full-time position (open to Part-time inquiries) where you will have a set schedule per week.

Warehouse Assistants will be paid $16 per hour, paid in biweekly pay periods.

Please note, this is a seasonal position. Preference will be given to candidates looking to grow with our company and come back for future seasons.
