Job Description

Opportunity exists immediately for a safety committed Trainer at our Castlegar facility to complement our Learning & Development Department. We are a Learning Organization looking for creative and dedicated people to work within our team. Reporting to the Learning & Development Supervisor, the Trainer is responsible for administering Celgar’s training program in accordance with our standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Supporting a World-Class Safety Program Instructing existing, new, and temporary employees using an effective and systematic plan in both a classroom and field-based setting Teaching in a safety-sensitive, industrial environment as well as on related equipment and methods such as forklift, aerial work platform, Rail Switch and Trackmobile, and propane filling Organizing and prioritizing work tasks and training initiatives Facilitating New Employee Onboarding Sessions Education and Experience

Completion of High School or G.E.D. with a minimum of 3 years’ of experience instructing in an industrial environment (ie, classroom and field-based) Excellent verbal and written communication skills The ability to work within MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook Willingness and ability to work in a team setting Submit your resume to our HR Department by email:
