Established in 2018, Iconic Group is a company based in Nelson, BC. After years of developing, our business includes retail and wholesale for local and import goods to community residents and companies. Currently we are seeking a skilled and experienced Computer System Programmer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep programming and coding, as well as a proven track record of designing, implementing, and maintaining complex computer programs.

Job duties:

• Design, develop, and implement a computer program that will integrate our retail, wholesale, and online store systems into one internal program for the company.

• Work closely with other team members to identify business requirements and develop technical solutions that meet those requirements.

• Work with the sales and management teams to create and maintain the company’s website and online store system.

• Troubleshoot issues with the program and provide timely resolution.

• Provide ongoing support and maintenance of the program.

• Conduct regular system updates and upgrades to ensure optimal performance.

• Provide training and support to users of the internal program.

Requirements:

• A bachelor's degree or college diploma program in computer engineering or in another discipline with a significant programming component

• Three to five years work experience in computer programming field is preferred.

• Working experience with REST APIs and Test-Driven Development (TDD) is preferred.

• Familiarity with automated testing, JavaScript build and deployment systems such as Jest.

• Experience with microservices, containerized applications, Docker/Kubernetes, cloud technologies is an asset.

• Excellent communications skills and ability to work collaboratively with other team members is an asset.
