Job Description

These position can be performed from any location within the province of British Columbia. The successful applicant may remain at their current home location in BC and enter into a telework agreement OR work from a ministry location where office space is available. The locations listed are to assist applicants in searching for this opportunity. This position may be performed in other approved locations within the Province of BC. For specific information about a location, applicants must contact the Hiring Manager to confirm if working remotely from that location could be considered. An eligibility list may be established for future permanent and/or temporary vacancies.

Strategic leadership within ministries: Works in partnership with executive leadership in ministries and sectors to support their transform plans for digital framework and digital services initiatives. Technology leadership within ministries: Works in partnership with CIOs and information management organizations to ensure early deployment of service design initiatives ahead of business case and requirements definition. Vendors: recruits and evaluates vendors to build capacity in the delivery of service design projects, defines deliverables, approach, develops contract proposal, manages contracts, resolves issues.

Job Requirements: In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:

Education

Degree or diploma in User Experience Design, Social Sciences, Library Science or an equivalent combination of related experience and education.

Experience

At least three years experience practising user experience design (research, strategy, design, content) or service design (experience mapping, service prototyping) to design and enhance services via web and other channels. Experience in service design and a strong focus on improving service for citizens and stakeholders. Demonstrated experience leading significant change in an organization. Experience in leadership, communications, relationship building, and planning skills.
