Reporting to the Superintendent, Operational Human Resources, the Senior Human Resources Advisor is responsible for establishing programs and policies that promote a positive Employee Relations environment and provide support to front line management.

To be successful in this role we are looking for someone with outstanding organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, who has strong problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize contending demands.

Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures Investigate employee relations issues including employee matters and performance concerns while maintaining confidentiality, consistency, and sensitivity Assist in the administration of collective agreements and the implementation of Company policies to ensure accurate interpretation at Trail Operations Support and assist operational departments as an integral part of the HR Team in the rollout and administration of all HR programs Mentor, counsel, and guide managers before the execution of employee disciplinary actions Key member of the Company in collective bargaining providing support to senior management in material preparation, contract language and proposals Generates regular and ad hoc reports on specific HR metrics Provide support and assistance to HR Manager on Business Unit projects Other responsibilities as they arise


University Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Commerce or equivalent Minimum of 4 years of progressively senior level human resource experience CPHR designation considered an asset Experience dealing with grievances, arbitrations and mediations Experience in bargaining a collective agreement Thorough knowledge of human resource practices, applicable statutes and regulations Must have considerable computer and software application proficiency Ability to operate with very high levels of integrity and confidentiality
