
Sales Troops Supervisor - Shambhala Music Festival
Job Description
We are now looking for Supervisors for our team of Sales Troops at the festival this summer!
Sales Troop Supervisors will work on the festival grounds near Salmo, BC between July 15-25, 2023, and will assist in day-to-day operations while leading/supervising all Sales Troops leading up to and during the event.
Responsibilities Include:
Dispatch Sales Troops crew members and assign tasks based on a priority basis to teams in need of personnel and the priority task list provided by management Train and supervise Sales Troops crew as directed by the Sales Director and Assistant Responsible for the well-being of their crew, this includes ensuring crew stays hydrated and receive regular breaks and meals and that they are appropriately equipped for their jobs Ensure that crew members have the skills and tools required to complete their assigned tasks in a safe and efficient manner Maintain an accurate record of all personnel and their locations at all times Pick up timesheet at Payroll office before each shift (if first shift of the day) and return to Payroll at end of shift (if last shift of the day), ensuring all crew sign in/out on the timesheet properly Run daily tailgate meetings with all crew members at the beginning of each shift Complete Daily Journal and Post-Show reports, handing in to HR before leaving the farm Execute and display the Shambhala spirit of love, magic, and welcome at each point of contact in a warm and friendly way Assign tasks to staff with their skill set in mind, ensuring the highest possible level of success Consult Sales Director and Assistant in decision making Continuously assess and evaluate crew performance and skills. Work with Sales Director and Assistant to find solutions if someone continues to underperform Qualifications Include:
Festival experience an asset Experience leading a team of 5 or more required Comfortable using a radio to communicate Solid understanding of the site and how each department operates Basic construction and tool knowledge is an asset Effective management skills and training ability; can delegate tasks and motivate workers Able to handle and prioritize multiple requests Knowledgeable with SMF protocol and procedures Excellent communicator and organization. Able to interact effectively with all levels of chain of command Capable of multi-tasking and prioritizing A committed individual and self-motivating Courteous, competent and persuasive with a proven ability to handle stressful situations Flexible and able to respond to changes in working conditions Comfortable working long shifts, early mornings or late nights, and outdoors in potentially unfavorable weather while maintaining a positive demeanor Patient performing repetitive tasks Demonstrates a high degree of professionalism at all times when conducting operations and interacting with patrons Maintain awareness of environment, sense of responsibility for fellow crew members as well as company image Use correct radio etiquette and procedures Understand the limits of the site and work within the parameters Ability to work in a culturally diverse work space without personal judgments or bias To apply, submit your resume & cover letter through our online job application form here!
