Requirements Working towards an Occupational Health and Safety diploma/degree or an equivalent degree program focused on health and safety/mining Experience in practical and theoretical safety/loss control is an asset Motivated self-starters with the ability to manage several projects simultaneously Experience working in mining or heavy construction considered an asset Comfortable working in a dynamic work environment with a willingness to work outdoors and able to operate vehicles at our operations, in various weather conditions and terrain Experience working effectively with hourly and management employees as well as Occupational Health and Safety Committees Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills with a capability to communicate complex ideas to all levels and partners Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)


By the end of 2022, Technical Services Trail (TST) is required to have the corporate critical control verification (CCV) applied to a platform (iAuditor) in order to be reported to the established Teck-level dashboard for aggregate reporting of CCV conformance. This position will be responsible for:

Demonstrating courageous leadership by promoting a safe work environment, ensuring everyone goes home safe and healthy every day Performing site safety audits and general safety related duties Implementing iAuditor at TST Creating the CCV checklists on iAuditor that are applicable to TST Review other checklists that TST uses for inspections and remove duplicates Provide training to TST personnel that will be conducting the inspections Creating a CCV checklist schedule that is in alignment with corporate requirements

All students will be required to complete pre-employment drug testing prior to commencing work.
