Professional responsibilities • Proceed in a positive and courteous manner when dealing with customers face to face
• Be adept at sorting, collecting and distributing mail items safely and in a timely manner
• Acquire and maintain knowledge of local infrastructure including roads, customers and delivery receptacles
• Ensure mail is safely in their possession
Professional Responsibilities (continued) Process the various CPC products and services (Change of Address Notice, Damaged Mail, Delivered Invoices (BID) and others)
Wear Canada Post identification upon delivery and ensure visibility while delivering and collecting mail from customers
Lift and carry items up to 50 lbs / 22.7 kg
Have experience delivering and operating a motor vehicle in all weather and traffic conditions Eligibility criteria Other information Mandatory vehicle requirements
Minimum cargo space of 50 cu. ft. (1,415 litres) Automatic gearbox power windows; Metal roof as well as an additional power outlet allowing the installation of a Canada Post sign and a flashing light; Midpoint of passenger window sill between 38” and 45” from floor and maximum interior width of vehicle to be 56”; Fifth door or tailgate to accommodate loading of oversized and bulky items (preferred) Provide and maintain automobile liability insurance required for the use of your vehicle Notify your insurance company of the use of your vehicle while employed by Canada Post Have a satisfactory safe driving record Possess a valid permanent provincial driver's license Click here to learn how to measure your vehicle's cargo load.
