The rate of pay for this position is a salary of $15.90/hr from July 9 – August 20, 2022. An additional $0.25/hour is added for any returning staff.
The employee is expected to complete 8 hours of work per day, but not necessarily consecutively. Employees are expected to have two days per week as time off at the discretion of the Board in which they are expected to leave the property Under the supervision of the Camp Director Will assist the Recreation Coordinator in carrying out camp programming Assist cabin leaders to meet program requirements May take on duties of cabin leaders when necessary Will maintain a daily logbook of activities. Each log sheet must be approved by an executive member of the Board of Directors. Paychecks will be received one week after each timesheet is completed. Camp Koolaree will reimburse the employee for distance driven provided the employee is required to travel for camp business. This distance and purpose must be listed on the relevant timesheet and will not be paid for after the fact. The employee is expected to comply with all WorkSafe BC regulations. There is to be no smoking (except in designated areas). Use of drugs or alcohol on the camp property may be grounds for immediate dismissal. If the employee chooses to bring their own tools or equipment, Camp Koolaree will not be responsible for any losses or damage, unless it has been approved by the President of the Board of Directors. Under no circumstances are employees to have personal visitors at the camp, without board approval first. The employee is responsible for notifying the camp director of any trips off the camp property while camps are in session. Staff are to limit interaction with volunteer staff and campers unless pre-approved by the camp director, or as part of their job description
