Job Description

**Kalawsky Chevrolet Buick GMC **in Castlegar, BC requires an energetic, outgoing and organized receptionist. In this important role, you will be the face (and voice) of the dealership as you greet and assist our customers, while providing administrative support.


  • Warmly greet and welcome our guests and customers, in person or over the phone.
  • Answer and direct calls and messages to the appropriate staff members and departments, accurately and promptly.
  • Provide directions and assistance to visitors and introduce customers to staff, as needed.
  • Sort and forward incoming correspondence.
  • Organize incoming and outgoing mail and courier shipments and distribute in the dealership.
  • Maintain stock and availability of office supplies.
  • Maintain a safe and clean reception area to provide a good first impression to our customers and organized environment for fellow staff members.
  • Provide support on general administrative and office tasks such filing, processing payments, preparing cash reports and bank deposits.
  • Prepare letters and customer correspondence.
  • Assist with vehicle inventory management.
  • Support fellow team members and pitch in when needed.

Previous reception and bookkeeping experience is an asset. This role requires the desire to help others, a focus on detail and accuracy, comfort with technology and IT systems, good communication skills, the desire to learn and expand your knowledge of the retail automotive industry, as well as the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. This position is full time, Monday through Friday.
