Job Description

The City of Trail is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to fill a casual Recreation Facilities Attendant I position in the Parks and Recreation Department. Reporting to the Recreation Facilities Maintenance Foreman, the Recreation Facilities Attendant I participates in the operation, maintenance and cleaning of the City’s parks and recreational facilities. This position requires excellent customer service skills along with an aptitude for janitorial work, pool and ice maintenance and event production.

Desirable qualifications include (applicants not possessing these specific certifications may be considered):

Refrigeration Safety Awareness certification, as recognized under the BC Pressure Vessels and Boilers Act Pool Operator Level I certification RFABC Ice making certification Building Service Worker certification, with WHMIS Occupational First Aid, Level I Grade 12 education Valid BC Driver’s License A detailed job description outlining the duties and qualifications more fully is attached.

This position is within the CUPE Local 2087 Bargaining Unit and involves evening and weekend work. Wages are as per the Collective Agreement and the position is currently compensated at $33.34 per hour.
