There is currently one temporary opportunity available until June 28, 2024 which may be extended or become permanent.

This is a VIRTUAL POSITION that can be performed from any office of the Service BC located within the province. The locations listed are to assist applicants in searching for this opportunity. Work locations are subject to operational requirements and space availability.

The Procurement Management Office (PMO) is a newly created office within Service BC that will lead a major procurement project for the Provincial Contact Center. Following a defined lifecycle, engaging with stakeholders and collaborating with multiple operational business areas, the PMO has the responsibility to produce the best outcomes possible. This significant, high-complexity, high-value contract which will provide services to ministry partners and the citizens of British Columbia.

Service BC provides service delivery to the public through multiple access points including over the counter, telephone and online, and implements cross-government service delivery initiatives to improve services to citizens and businesses. The Service BC Division includes: 65 Service BC Centres; the Service BC Contact Centre, BC Registry and Online Services; and the Provincial Identity Information Management Program (IDIM).The Strategic Services Branch leads initiatives and provides corporate services that support a best-in-class service organization. This includes service analytics, transformative business practices, process improvement, finance, workforce, and communications. The position manages the development, implementation and evaluation of major projects, or business components of large multi-faceted projects with multiple key deliverables. Projects are taken from original concept through to final completion.

Job Requirements: In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:

EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE

Degree in public administration, business administration, or related field AND a minimum of 3 years of *recent related experience; or an equivalent combination of education or experience may be considered.

*RECENT RELATED EXPERIENCE MUST INCLUDE ALL OF THE FOLLOWING

Experience collaborating effectively with partners and stakeholders to initiate or influence policies or programs. Experience managing multiple projects or leading a component (e.g., sub-project) of a major project. Experience in conducting research and analysis of quantitative and/or qualitative information to support the development of policy or the evaluation of programs. Experience leading staff.

Preference may be given to applicants with the following:

Procurement experience. Formal training in project management methodology.

CRC - A Criminal Record Check (CRC) will be required.
