Responsible for providing installation, maintenance, and repair of the City’s irrigation systems and carrying out maintenance work in parks, playgrounds, the cemetery and landscaped areas throughout the City.

Key Responsibilities Reporting to the Parks Foreperson, you will be responsible for all aspects of the City’s irrigation system to ensure system performance and maintenance of green spaces throughout the City. You will also be responsible for general maintenance of playgrounds, the cemetery and park infrastructure. During winter months you will be part of winter operations performing snowplowing, sanding and snow removal.

Qualifications The successful candidate will be a Certified Irrigation Technician and working towards certification in horticulture, arboriculture or turf grass management. This position is CUPE Local 2262 position attracting an hourly rate of $34.47 (2022 rate).
