Nelson & District Youth Centre Skatepark Ambassador
Are you an avid skateboarder, looking to gain valuable experience, earn some extra money and work within a team environment while on a school/summer break? If you like the outdoors and working with youth in a team-oriented environment, then this is the perfect opportunity for you!
The City of Nelson is currently recruiting for a grant-funded Skatepark Ambassador. As a requirement of the grant, this position is open to applicants between the ages of 15-30.
The Skatepark Ambassador is responsible for creating a safe and fun environment for youth while promoting new and challenging skateboard skills. Under the direction of the Manager of the Youth Centre, the ambassador will ensure safety and sportsmanship are at the forefront. The Skateboard Ambassador will act as a positive role model while enforcing the rules and regulations of the skate park. Please visit our website for more information on this exciting opportunity!
This will be a temporary position over the Summer with varying hours. The wage for this position is $15.65/hour.
Previous experience instructing and leading skateboard lesson One year recent related experience working with youth Basic First Aid Certification WHMIS Criminal Records Check
