Job Requirements: In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:
Master’s Degree or higher in business, public administration, natural resources, First Nations studies, political or social sciences, law or communications or a related discipline and a minimum of three (3) years of recent, related experience; OR,
Bachelor’s Degree or Tehnical Diploma in business, public administration, natural resources, First Nations studies, political or social sciences, law or communications or a related discipline and minimum of five (5) years of recent, related experience; OR,
A combination of education, training and experience may be considered; AND,
Recent, related experience is defined as experience gained within the last seven (7) years.
Recent, related experience must include:
- Experience developing engagement strategies and conducting consultations with First Nations.
- Experience providing advice and recommendations to decision-makers regarding First Nations consultation and the resolution of issues.
- Experience working with multi-government organizations and multi-Indigenous organizations.
- Experience supervising employees.
Preference may be given for experience with the following:
- Experience negotiating agreements.
- Experience supervising employees in a union environment.
- Experience working with indigenous-BC legal case law.
- Valid BC driver’s license.
